Momentum Challenge Team

Are You Up For The Challenge?

Challenge Team rides are longer, faster, and adventure-based. We have climbed the classic South and North Carolina Summits, completed multi-day bike tours, and explored rugged trails on our mountain bikes. The Challenge Club embodies healthy living, healthy relationships, and perseverance to overcome obstacles on the road and in life.

If you’re an empowered and motivated high school Bike Club member who is looking to challenge yourself both physically and mentally, consider inquiring about the Momentum Challenge Team!

So What Is The Challenge Team?

The Momentum Challenge Team serves high school students across the Upstate, allowing them to continue their growth in a supportive environment. The Challenge Team rides the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. Mentors and students typically spend 15 hours per month together and develop a very close-knit bond.

Many Challenge Team members even consider this group a second family.

Examples of Challenges We Tackle Together

Cycling Challenges

  • Advanced road cycling on road, mountain, and hybrid bikes.
  • Taking rides of 30 to 50+ miles.
  • Cycling Paris Mountain, Caesar’s Head, and Saluda, N.C.
  • Overnight bike packing trips where they load all of their gear on their bikes. Those trips have led to the Conestee Preserve, the Preserve at Riverwest, and the New River Trail, VA.

Personal Challenges

  • Students meeting themselves where they are through self-reflection.
  • Challenging themselves to set high goals for their lives and learning how to strategically achieve them.
  • Building resilience that assist students in overcoming childhood traumas.
  • Using the power of group mentoring and positive peer relationships in a safe place to explore your deeper self in an empowering way.
